Today I ended my 9 day juice feast with a bowl of vegan pumpkin soup for dinner. I was craving a warm meal pretty strongly, and that sounded like exactly what my body wanted.
3 hours later and I am extremely hungry- more so than I have been all week... I've opened Pandora's box now!
Thinking I will have a green smoothie for breakfast tomorrow, and make some juice too. To be honest I can't wait to have hummus again... I have been craving it the whole cleanse!
I will keep writing here as I am inspired to, and hope to eventually turn this into my recipe blog/book.
Cheers!

Day Eight
So far so good...
Not much to report today, but I didn't want to miss a day. I feel good today- steady energy and a clear head. My only issue seems to be not drinking enough juice. Hoping to remedy that tomorrow!

One week!
I've made it through a week of this juice feast... Hard to believe its only been 7 days- I feel like I haven't eaten in ages.
Today I made kimchi and pickled daikon. I've was craving picked daikon the other day, and figured I should make something that I can have after the feast is through. It looks so good already, I wanted to take a bite!
The food cravings haven't really gone away, unfortunately. And it's even harder, cooking each meal for my family. I'm so used to tasting as I cook- It feels strange not doing so right now.
Thinking I may just do two weeks at this point. Originally I had planned for 30, but I believe that I can still benefit from the cleanse after 14 days. Already I've seen a big shift in my mental clarity, and have lost almost 10 pounds. Going more than 2 weeks seems a little extreme for me right now.

Day 6!
I am so proud of myself... Half-way through day 6 and I am really feeling good!
Took a 4.6 mile walk today, and didn't get fatigued at all. That is unusual, and wonderful...
I juiced gazpacho last night- it was so nice to have that savory spicy flavor... I 'ate' it out of a bowl to get the full soup effect. :)
Gazpacho Juice:
3 Cucumbers
4 Large heirloom tomatoes
4 cloves of garlic
1 large shallot
I/2 head celery
1 large res bell pepper
Handful of cilantro
If you like spicy (like I do) you can add a jalapeƱo or some fermented peppers. We are making some brined/fermented hot sauce right now, so I put a large banana pepper in with 2-3 tablespoons of the habanero juice. Oh wow, it was good!
Today I haven't been very hungry, but I've juiced a quart of carrot, baby kale and red bell pepper for lunch.
Starting to think I can do this for at least a couple weeks, if not the full 30...
We shall see!
PS: Down to 186 today... :)

Rabbit food...
Yesterday I walked out of Costco with a basket full of produce and some guy said, "Whoa- you got a rabbit at home?"
I smirked and said, "You betcha. Me."
It's interesting navigating the halls of society with this new lifestyle... Even though its a temporarily shift, I notice such a huge difference in the way I see things... The way I speak... The way I feel... And it's all good! :)
